Site Size & Condition: Ancient Village Wat Muang Khong (วัดเมืองคง - Pronounced: Wot Moo-ang Kong)

Well-preserved circular settlement site located amid paddy-fields to the east of Rasi Salai Town in the province's northern panhandle area. The almost perfectly circular site measures some 8-900m in diameter and is enclosed by a double earthen embankment and still intact moat. The interior area is today uninhabited and largely forested with its main feature being the active Buddhist monastery Wat Muang Khong.

Photographs of the site and wat fail to reveal any vestiges or artefacts and on-the-ground-verification is required.
