Wat Ban Mai Thai Charoen (วัดบ้านใหม่ไทยเจริญ - Pronounced: Wot Baan Mai Tie Cha-rern)
Mollerup [1] reports that a number of unfinished sandstone blocks found in the grounds of this active Buddhist monastery were presumably destined for the unfinished, now ruined, sanctuary site of Prasat Ban Krathin situated 1 km to the southeast. It appears unlikely that the blocks were taken from the mound site and deposited here yet why the carving work was undertaken at this location rather than 1 km away at the site itself is unclear, even if Ban Mai does possibly correspond to an ancient village site.
The wat itself, however, shows no evidence of having been an ancient site in its own right.
