Site Size & Condition: Small Ruin Prasat Yae Nua (ปราสาทเยอเหนือ - Pronounced: Woht Yeur Noo-ah)

Ruins of a brick tower with an eastern entrance and extended porch situated within the compound of an active Buddhist monastery. The ruin consists of a large mound of bricks, laterite and sandstone blocks with just the 2 eastern doorframes still standing. Both of the corresponding lintels are still in situ and appear to be in a Khleang art style and feature Indra on Airavata and a deity with a club possibly representing Vishvakarma or Yama.

Some laterite blocks may correspond to the remains of an underlying platform while larger sandstone blocks, as well as small sculpted fragments, are displayed in front of the mound.

A reservoir lies to the east while Wat Prasat Yae Tai (or South) is located some 300m south and may also be worth investigating for possible vestiges.
